Town & Country Egg Farm LLC, was founded in order to share our love of the farm through farm fresh eggs, even though we reside inside the city limits of Winona.
Eggs are gathered, hand-washed and boxed daily. In the summer, the hens are given free reign of our yard in which to roam, truly free range eggs! We are enjoying the brown eggs mainly for ourselves but are happy to supply our neighboring customers with the extra eggs our natural, free-range chickens lay.
A majority of our eggs are produced by ISA Brown Chickens. An extremely quiet bird that is able to withstand the colder, non-insulated laying houses. The chicks may be sexed by color - pullets red and roosters white. The mature pullet is golden red in color, but has some white showing throughout her neck and back. The cockerels are very similar to the white rock size and with very little color around the neck, wings, and tail. Good bird to raise without leg problems.
